Fergus Quill : 'Bar Walk: A Tribute To John Cage'
Inspired by a cassette of a particularly combative John Cage interview Fergus was inspired to produce his own tribute to the master of chance operations. Featuring wind-up toys, radios, whistles and bells laid out on a table top, This piece combines Fergus's love of Beresford-esque object based free improvisation with the sound world of the aleatoric guru John Cage.
Nika Ticciati - 'The Book of Altercations'
Nika will perform her new work The Book of Altercations in full, a set of 15 short pieces for improvising pianist, written as a present for her old piano teacher. She promises to play very well.
