Weekly Newsletter - w/c Monday 30 March

Another week, another fantastic lineup of live music across Leeds! Whether you're after a chilled midweek vibe or a full-on weekend bender, there's something for everyone to get stuck into. Let's dive in.

This Week's Highlights

Kicking off the week with a bit of hip-hop history, Mobb Deep are set to grace the stage at Project House on Monday. If you're looking for something a little more laid-back to ease into the week, head over to Northern Guitars for their ever-popular Open Mic on Monday, or catch the soulful sounds of The Music of Joe Henderson at The Domino Club.

Midweek brings a real treat for fans of thoughtful songwriting. On Wednesday, catch Emma Pollock, a founding member of the acclaimed Scottish band The Delgados, at Hyde Park Book Club. Also on Wednesday, if you fancy something a bit different, Manu Delago & Max ZT are bringing their unique sound to The Old Woollen.

As we head into the latter half of the week, there's plenty to choose from. Thursday sees Richard Ashcroft playing at the First Direct Arena – a big one for any Verve fans. For a more intimate affair, head to Oporto for Big Image or Brudenell Social Club for ME & MY FRIENDS.

Friday night is looking particularly strong. Belgrave Music Hall is hosting FEET, while Hyde Park Book Club has Lucy Kitchen offering up some folk charm and Bare Jams bringing their feel-good blend of pop, soul, and funk. Over at The Domino Club, you can catch the lively Suitcase Rags Trio and the energetic Back Chat Brass.

The weekend is shaping up nicely too. Saturday at Wharf Chambers sees a compelling lineup including Objections and Big Break, promising a night of post-punk and garage punk. For something a bit more atmospheric, Belgrave Music Hall has Nordic Giants, renowned for their visceral and cinematic performances. If you're after a good old indie singalong, The Warehouse is hosting Indie Fest. And for a bit of classic charm, Tony Christie is playing his 'Great Farewell' show at Hyde Park Book Club.

Sunday winds down with a few more gems. Brudenell Social Club has X-Ray Rumble and STONE playing, while The Domino Club is set to host the foot-stomping sounds of The Jake Leg Jug Band.
