The week is kicking off with a bang, and Leeds is buzzing with live music across the board. Whether you're after some intimate acoustics, head-banging rock, or something to get you on the dance floor, there's plenty to choose from.

Kicking off the week on Monday, if you fancy diving into the underground hip-hop scene, Rome Streetz & Your Old Droog are bringing their sharp lyricism and boom-bap beats to Belgrave Music Hall. For those who prefer a more experimental evening, Hyde Park Book Club hosts The Collaboration, a fascinating multimedia event blending stop-motion animation, music, and spoken word.

Tuesday offers a bit of everything. The ever-reliable Brudenell Social Club welcomes NOTHING, promising a shoegaze experience with a distinctly American edge. If you're looking for something a bit more danceable, Belgrave Music Hall hosts YĪN YĪN, whose unique blend of disco, funk, and Southeast Asian sounds is sure to get you moving. For a taste of post-punk with a sci-fi twist, catch Lathe Of Heaven at Headrow House.

Mid-week sees a real mix. On Wednesday, Hyde Park Book Club presents Genre fluid, an eclectic night showcasing emerging artists across electronic and shoegaze sounds. Meanwhile, Northern Guitars hosts Pat Carter, bringing his acclaimed alt-country and blues fusion.

As we head into the weekend, Friday is shaping up to be a busy one. For something a bit different, City Varieties has Bollywood Time Machine, promising a vibrant celebration of Indian cinema's musical history. If you're after some high-energy rock, Brudenell Social Club is hosting a Fleetwood Bac tribute, and The Wardrobe welcomes KEiiNO.

Saturday is packed with options. For a dose of energetic punk and garage rock, don't miss Chakra Shakers at Northern Guitars. If you're looking for a more relaxed vibe, The Domino Club has The Domino RnB Band playing. For a truly unique EDM experience, catch Dutch sensation xCelia at Hyde Park Book Club.

Sunday rounds off the week with a festival feel. Brudenell Social Club hosts the Strangeforms Festival, and for a more laid-back acoustic set, head to Northern Guitars for Ruby Wheeler.

Freshly Announced!

Looking ahead, some cracking gigs have just been announced that are definitely worth keeping an eye on. Mark your calendars for Sukha bringing their 'Rumour Has It Tour' to Leeds University on Sunday 24th May 2026. If you're a fan of classic indie, you'll want to catch An Afternoon of Indie LEEDS at The Backroom on Saturday 3rd October 2026. Further out, the legendary The Maccabees will be playing Kirkstall Abbey on Friday 31st July 2026, and for a dose of indie-rock with a difference, WIDOWSPEAK are set to play Brudenell Social Club on Thursday 12th November 2026.
