It's shaping up to be another cracking week for live music across Leeds! From intimate acoustic sets to full-blown club nights, there's something for everyone to dive into. So, grab your mates, pick a gig, and let's make some noise.

This Week's Picks

Kicking off the week, if you're looking to get involved or just enjoy some local talent, Northern Guitars has their usual Open Mic on Monday, followed by a Jam Night on Tuesday. It's always a friendly atmosphere and a great way to discover new sounds.

If you're after something a bit more established, the Brudenell Social Club is hosting BILLY LOCKETT on Tuesday, a promising night of Dance, Electronic & Club vibes. Midweek, they welcome the legendary reggae artist Barrington Levy on Wednesday, a rescheduled show not to be missed for fans of the genre.

For those who appreciate a good quiz with a musical twist, head down to The Domino Club on Tuesday for The Big Fat Domino Live Music Quiz. Throughout the week, The Domino Club also has a steady stream of live music, from the soulful sounds of The Raquel Alvaro Trio on Wednesday to A Love Supreme ft: The George MacDonald Trio play Ramsey Lewis on Thursday.

The weekend looks particularly strong. On Friday, Hyde Park Book Club is hosting a double-header with the intimate acoustic stylings of Emily Trease and the eclectic sounds of Bold as Brass, featuring Ska, Rave, Dub, DnB, Fusion, Experimental, Nu-Jazz, and Funk. For a proper festival vibe, Eiger Studios presents May Escape Plan, an alt-rock sanctuary. And if you're looking to dive headfirst into the world of Taylor Swift, Swiftogeddon is back at Belgrave Music Hall.

Saturday sees the Brudenell Social Club hosting In Colour - feat. Gurriers, The Orielles and more., an all-day celebration of new music. Over at Seven Arts, you can catch some delightful Cactusville (Gypsy Jazz, 4pm!) to kick off your Saturday afternoon.

Sunday winds down with the chart-topping folk group The Longest Johns at the Irish Centre, and for a relaxed end to the week, The Domino Club has its popular Jazz Jam.

Just Announced

Looking ahead, there are some exciting announcements that have landed this week. Get ready for JEMBAA GROOVE at Belgrave Music Hall on Saturday, 10th October 2026, bringing their unique Afro-Fusion sound. Over at the O2 Academy Leeds, mark your calendars for Yard Act on Saturday, 7th November 2026, and Ash celebrating their 30th anniversary on Wednesday, 16th December 2026.

For those who like their music with a bit of a wild side, Wolfbastard is set to play Boom on Saturday, 1st August 2026. And keep an eye out for Fat Dog at the O2 Academy Leeds on Friday, 27th November 2026, a band that's been making serious waves.

If you're a fan of David Lynch's surreal cinematic world, the Live Inside A Dream Festival at Hyde Park Book Club on Saturday, 4th July 2026, sounds like an absolute must-attend.
