St Peter's Singers have become especially well-known for their performance of this wonderful work since the group's first presentation of it in 1985, the special Bach Tercentenary Year, since then the work has been sung and played many times - notably in Leeds Town Hall in 1991 as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the consecration of Leeds Parish Church.
