Following on from last year's packed show at Wharf Chambers, Gilad Hekselman returns to perform his only Northern date joined by his new trio and tenor saxophone powerhouse Mark Turner.
This is a rare chance to see four giants from the NYC jazz scene perform up close in an intimate setting and if last year's show is any indication, this will sell out fast.
We have introduced an early bird special this time; the first 40 tickets sold will be £15 with the remainder at £18. Any tickets left on the day will be sold on the door for £20 cash.
Gilad Hekselman (Guitar)
Rick Rosato (Double Bass)
Jonathan Pinson (Drums)
+ Mark Turner (Tenor Saxophone)
Mr. Hekselman has set himself roughly up in the line of Pat Metheny and Kurt Rosenwinkel, with a warm and clean guitar tone, clear articulation, crazily extended improvisational ideas…
— Ben Ratliff, New York Times
I think Mark Turner is one of the most important players that has come along in the last 20 years, easily the most influential. He never seems to have any doubt about what hes doing.– Ravi Coltrane
